OUR YARNS
At ERIBÉ, we only ever use natural fibres in our knitwear and accessories — carefully chosen for their comfort, sustainability, and timeless appeal.
Wool has always been at the heart of what we do. It’s natural, renewable, and biodegradable, with technical properties no other fibre can match. Soft, breathable and thermoregulating, wool keeps you warm without overheating — making it perfect for everyday wear.
We’re also proud to introduce three new yarns to our collection:
Soft Extrafine Merino, Fine Organic Cotton, and Linen.
Every piece is crafted from the finest yarns to bring you long-lasting comfort and considered style — pieces to cherish for years to come.

Merino Lambswool
Our Merino Lambswool is spun in Yorkshire by a family-owned company who have been spinning yarn for over 200 years. The fibre is dyed before it is spun - a gentle process that gives a superior colour result and soft handle. They source natural fibres with the highest standards of animal welfare and take the issues of sustainability seriously. Their Yorkshire mill uses technology to reduce power usage and all wood, paper, plastic, metal and fibre waste is recycled.

Superfine Merino Lambswool
Kinross garments are made with a premium Scottish spun, fully traceable, and guaranteed non-mulesed RWS Certified superfine merino lambswool yarn. It is so soft and lightweight, it almost feels like cashmere. The spinner uses water drawn from nearby Loch Leven – the dyes used are environmentally friendly, so the water used is cleaned and returned to the bird and fish nature reserve loch once dyeing is complete.

Soft Shetland
Our Soft Shetland collection is knitted in a premium quality 100% Soft Shetland Wool spun in Yorkshire from New Zealand wools produced by suppliers who operate very high welfare practices in the farming of their sheep which also means they are mulesing-free. All dyes and chemicals used in the manufacturing process conform to the latest EU REACH and OEKO-TEX® regulations.

British Wool
British wool, renowned for its exceptional quality and ethical practices, has become a symbol of eco-conscious craftsmanship which makes it the perfect choice for our Ecology collection. Our British wool is carefully selected and spun in Yorkshire using traditional methods to produce the softest handle possible. It is also certified by the British Wool Board which means that it has passed through a grading system that confirms the quality of fibre and highest standards of animal welfare.

Cotton
Our Sailor garments are crafted from premium organic cotton. Fully traceable and GOTS-certified, this cotton is grown and processed with low environmental impact. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 ensures no harmful chemicals are used, and ethical, fair working conditions are maintained throughout the supply chain.

Linen
The Stichill range features naturally organic Linen blended with Organic Cotton. This hypoallergenic and antibacterial fiber offers exceptional comfort with thermo-regulating and moisture-absorbing qualities, making it ideal for sensitive skin. Linen cultivation also enhances soil health and biodiversity, aligning perfectly with our sustainability ethos.

Extrafine Soft Merino Wool
The Melrose range introduces Soft Extrafine Merino, a lightweight, breathable wool perfect for warmer days. It’s fully traceable, ethically produced, and certified by the Responsible Wool Standard.
All our woollen yarns are:
Ethically sourced from top producers who ensure our yarn is treated with
passion and care at every stage of the production process
Mulesing Free*
Follow the EU REACH and OEKO-TEX® dye regulations
RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) and Control Union certified
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) aims to improve the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. It requires all sites from wool farmers to the seller in the final business-to-business transaction, to be certified. RWS farmers must meet animal welfare, land management, and social requirements.
* The term Mulesing refers to the removal of strips of wool-bearing skin from around the breech (buttocks) of Merino sheep to prevent parasitic infection. Wool that is certified mulesing-free comes from wool growers who have never practiced or have stopped practicing this outdated and unnecessary cruel mutilation.
