Taking inspiration from the texture and colour-play of Scotland’s rich ancestral cloth, ‘Tweed’, these new garments are a fun, colourful and super-soft collection with heritage roots. Melrose is ERIBÉ’s hometown in the Scottish Borders, a perfect historical Abbey-town surrounded by rolling countryside, a Roman fort and the Eildon hills.
The Tweed name of this collection holds double meaning – ‘The Tweed’ is one of Scotland’s famous rivers that runs through Melrose. But also, we combined ‘Scottish Tweed’ cloth textures and colour play with our own colour blocking to create a garment that is stylish and directional while carrying complex heritage-inspired design and texture. The extrafine 100% Merino wool, knitted in this super-lightweight finish, makes these garments luxury pieces that are a pleasure to wear.
