This part of the journey begins in Switzerland, where Rosy and Dougie are travelling through the Alpine landscape, making their way to Italy. As they head further south, the landscape opens out and the views get wider.

The journey from Rheinwald to Lecco Como is shown in this short video, capturing the shift from the snowy Alpine’s to the greener landscape in Lecco.

Lecco is a clear change from Switzerland, with everything closer together and more going on around you. The lake, roads, and buildings all sit in the same space, which gives it a very different feel from the open mountain landscape they have just come from. From here, the journey continues on from Lecco towards Milan.
