AW15 / Artist & Craftsman

For AW15, ERIBÉ started with a blank canvas. Inspired by the magical force that is human creativity, our design team were influenced by  real artists and craftsmen because they have the working knowledge and talent to turn their ideas into beautiful functional objects.

This gorgeous collection features a mix of hand-knitted, hand-woven and hand-finished machine knits in a wonderful variety of textures and natural yarns. Our contemporary twist on traditional patterns are combined with sumptuous colours inspired by artists such as Seurat, Andy Warhol, Lisa Lapointe, Alexander Calder and Matisse.

Instead of a typical photo-story to promote the collection, ERIBÉ decided to create a series of photographs featuring real artists and craftsman. We wanted to showcase how things are actually made, and build up a community of creatives.

Our photos feature talented creatives from the Scottish Borders: glass studio Annica & David from Lindean Glass, Lindean Mill near Galashiels, artist Anna King from Selkirk, and silversmith Terry and leatherworker Debbie from Centaur Design based in Traquair.

It is amazing to see real craftsman, people with huge amounts of talent and expertise in their studios wearing our new ERIBÉ designs. It is a window into the world of creativity and detail, a world that ERIBÉ also inhabit.

Available at our stockists now and coming soon to our Eshop.
