Budweiser, together with Mischief PR and Hothouse, came up with the concept of a Tweet Powered Knitting Machine for Christmas 2013. The machine knitted Budweiser branded Christmas jumpers as a social media campaign for designated drivers.

As knitwear experts, ERIBÉ consulted with Budweiser and their agencies; creating a knitting pattern based on their design, advising on knitting with a domestic machine, finishing the garments, liaising with production teams and providing knitwear related support.

Pringle, a long-established fashion brand, wanted to celebrate Wool Week 2013 with an eye-catching window display. They turned to ERIBÉ to create a larger than life knitting creation.

Firstly, ERIBÉ had to make gigantic 25mm needles by sawing and sanding dowel rods. Then, our hand-knitters created this large oversized panel (3 metres) out of fine Italian yarn. This exceptional heavy piece required an ingenious method of wedging one needle for stability in a vice and learning to knit backwards.

In 2009, ERIBÉ worked with The Mill to design a minimalist scarf as a corporate gift for their business partners. 150 hand-knitted pieces in 3 wonderful earthy colours where created in time for Christmas. Photographed here with The Mill’s packaging.

Visit Scotland, the Scottish tourist board, and also Textiles Scotland created two incredibly popular campaigns in 2008. Their concept was to promote wool as a natural fibre and Scotland as the home of quality textiles.

ERIBÉ designed and knitted outfits for the sheep and also provided accessories for them to wear.

In October 2012, Mulberry launched an interactive website called Brilliant Britain to showcase the best of what Britain has to offer in terms of design, food & drink, science, music etc. ERIBÉ was delighted to be included in their craft section.

For the website, Mulberry created a short documentary called Spinning a Yarn which focuses on two of ERIBÉ’s hand-knitters talking about their love of knitting and shows them knitting pieces from Mulberry’s Autumn Winter 2012 catwalk Collection. Margaret and Valerie, knitting veterans with 70 years’ experience under her needles, speak about how they got into knitting, and what it means to them. In addition, ERIBÉ staff and their hand-knitters attended two launch events of Brilliant Britain in Harrods, London and House of Fraser, Glasgow. They participated in live knitting to show the event attendees the craftsmanship involved in creating these pieces and the joy of knitting.
