Wool is natural, renewable and biodegradable, and has technical properties that no other fibres can match. It is nature’s gift to us all! By wearing wool you can enjoy its many benefits - great thermal properties, breathable for maximum natural comfort, and it will keep you warm without overheating - to name just a few.

The pieces we design are skilfully crafted from the finest quality woollen yarns to give you the ultimate in comfort and a wardrobe favourite that with care, will last for many years.

Merino Lambswool

Our Merino Lambswool is spun in Yorkshire by a family-owned company who have been spinning yarn for over 200 years. The fibre is dyed before it is spun - a gentle process that gives a superior colour result and soft handle. They source natural fibres with the highest standards of animal welfare and take the issues of sustainability seriously. Their Yorkshire mill uses technology to reduce power usage and all wood, paper, plastic, metal and fibre waste is recycled.

Superfine Merino Lambswool

Kinross garments are made with a premium Scottish spun, fully traceable, and guaranteed non-mulesed RWS Certified superfine merino lambswool yarn. It is so soft and lightweight, it almost feels like cashmere. The spinner uses water drawn from nearby Loch Leven – the dyes used are environmentally friendly, so the water used is cleaned and returned to the bird and fish nature reserve loch once dyeing is complete.

RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) and Control Union certified

The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) aims to improve the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. It requires all sites from wool farmers to the seller in the final business-to-business transaction, to be certified. RWS farmers must meet animal welfare, land management, and social requirements.

* The term Mulesing refers to the removal of strips of wool-bearing skin from around the breech (buttocks) of Merino sheep to prevent parasitic infection. Wool that is certified mulesing-free comes from wool growers who have never practiced or have stopped practicing this outdated and unnecessary cruel mutilation.
